Central Park South is the part of 59th Street that connects to the Central Park in Midtown Manhattan. It goes from Columbus Circle on the west to the Fifth Avenue on the east.
Central Park South is famous for upscale historic hotels and some of the most expensive residences: the Plaza Hotel, the Ritz-Carlton, the Park Lane, and Jumeirah Essex House and high-end new development.
Central Park South is one of the most visited streets in the world as tourists destination because of it Midtown location next to Fifth Avenue and Madison Avenue shopping, MOMA, the entrance to the Central Park, the Time Warner Center, and Carnegie Hall. Perhaps for someone, the constant crowd of people is the only drawback of living there.
